SASHAPASHA is an artistic duo created in 2009 in St.Petersburg by Alexandra (b. 1985) and Pavel Rotts (b. 1982). They currently live and work in Helsinki, Finland.
This collective works with such media as animation, painting, installation, performance, and many others. They are also founders of the SAHSAPASHA fashion jewelry brand.
In their previous project, they focused on the tragic history of Gulag revealed through the the theme of human memory. During their stay at ZARYA, artists are going to continue this research in Vladivostok where famous transit labour camp was located in past.
